Privacy and cookies
In short: this site sets no cookies for visitors, embeds no third-party services, and collects data only when you write to me or suggest an idea. The details are below.
Who handles your data
The data controller is Enrico Fanucchi, Livorno (Italy). For any question about your data you can write to enricofanucchi@gmail.com.
This site is a personal project: nobody else uses your data on my behalf, apart from the technical providers listed below.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device: no profiling, analytics or advertising cookies, and no cookies from other sites. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Fonts, images, videos and scripts are all hosted on this server: browsing it does not contact Google, YouTube, Facebook or any other service.
The only technical cookie exists in the admin area, which only I use to manage the site.
Browsing and server logs
Like every website, the server automatically logs the requests it receives: IP address, date and time, requested page and browser type.
Why: to run the site and protect it from abuse and attacks. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long: 14 days, then the logs are deleted automatically.
Visit statistics
To understand which pages interest people and where visitors come from I use home-made statistics, without cookies and without external services like Google Analytics. I record the page viewed, the site or campaign you came from, your device type, operating system, browser, browser language and clicks to downloads and other sites.
Your IP address is not stored. To count visitors I use an encrypted fingerprint calculated from IP and browser together with a random code that changes every day: it cannot lead back to you or recognise you from one day to the next. The data is only used in aggregate.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long: 13 months, then it is deleted automatically.
Contact form
If you write to me from the Contact page I collect your first and last name, email, message and, if you add them, phone number and company. I also store your IP address without its last part, which is enough to spot abuse but not to identify you.
Why: to reply to you. Legal basis: your request and, for work enquiries, pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); spam protection is a legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). How long: 24 months, then the message is deleted automatically. Sooner if you ask.
The message also reaches me by email: it is sent through the domain's mail provider and received in my Gmail inbox (Google). Google may process data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Idea suggestions and votes
If you suggest an idea I collect its title and description and, only if you fill them in, your name and email. Your name is shown publicly next to the idea; your email stays private and I only use it to tell you if the idea goes into development. Ideas are published only after I have read them.
To prevent spam and double votes the server keeps an encrypted, non-reversible fingerprint of your IP address (and, for votes, of your browser): it does not contain the address in clear and cannot identify you.
Legal basis: your consent, given by sending the suggestion (Art. 6(1)(a)), and legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)). How long: published ideas stay as long as they are online; unpublished ones are deleted after 12 months. You can ask at any time to remove an idea, your name or your email.
Donations and external links
Donations go through PayPal and GitHub Sponsors, which process your data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. From them I only receive what they share with the recipient of a donation, such as name, email and amount: I use it to thank you and for legal obligations.
Downloads lead to GitHub, and the phone apps to Google Play or their own websites. This site embeds no content from these services: you only contact them if you click the link.
Where the data lives and who sees it
The site and its database run on a server I manage, in Italy. Your data is not sold or shared, is not used for advertising or profiling, and no automated decisions are made.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to its processing or receive it in a readable format (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). If you gave consent, you can withdraw it whenever you like. Just write to enricofanucchi@gmail.com: I reply within 30 days.
If you believe your data is handled improperly you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the authority in your country.
Changes
If the site changes, for example with new forms or analytics, I update this page before the change goes live. Last updated: 11 October 2026.
